So basically, when you are on a 50/50, and are pulling on the event banner, if the regular 5star wishing comes up, there's a 50% you win, and a 50% you lose, that's what a 50/50 is. 

The game gives you a second chance if you lose the 50/50. meaning that there is a 90% that you lose and do not activate the special animation, but there is a 10% chance you trigger Capturing Radiance. When this activates you 100% win the limited event 5star character. 

So now, the overall chances of losing are 45% and winning are 55%. Just think of it as if you're playing a 45/55 game, and not a 50/50 game
